Viking Apartments Groveland Construction
In September 2024, Groveland Construction completed a masonry restoration project at Viking Apartments in Seattle, Washington. This project focused on preserving the building’s original character while reinforcing structural integrity through brick restoration, mortar joint repairs, and protective surface treatments.
Our team carefully removed deteriorated brick and salvaged materials for reuse. New structural supports and through-wall flashing were installed to enhance durability and water resistance. The salvaged brick was then reinstalled to maintain the building’s original aesthetic, with weeps placed to support proper drainage.
To further extend the life of the masonry, we repaired and repointed failing mortar joints, restoring stability and strength. Once the masonry reached an optimal moisture level, a protective surface treatment was applied to safeguard against the elements.
This restoration project reflects Groveland Construction’s expertise in masonry preservation, ensuring that Viking Apartments remains both structurally sound and true to its original design.

Groveland Construction, where timeless masonry meets rock-solid communication, quality, & value.
